Teams of padel players will seek glory on the comfortable courts of Pádel One Club, where from April 29 to May 12, the fifth Annual Anniversary Tournament of this sports center will be played, which is already a tradition in the region.
PRESENTATION
Through a press conference, yesterday the details of this event were announced, which aims to bring together hundreds of pairs of players in a sport that has experienced exponential growth during the recent five years. The information meeting was led by Manolo Jaidar, sports director of Pádel One Club, who was accompanied by Isaac Hernández, sports coordinator of the Municipal Sports Institute of Torreón, representing the director of the IMD, Ramón Chufani, who is an enthusiastic padel player.
“We are waiting for the participation of around 250 couples, not only from the Lagunera region, but also from Saltillo, Monterrey, among other cities that have already registered and are ready to come and play our tournament, which in the Open category includes with a guaranteed bag of 20 thousand pesos in cash,” explained Manolo Jaidar. The first players registered in children’s and senior categories, in both branches, will receive a commemorative t-shirt, which has high-end technology and a particularly striking design.
CATEGORIES
The Open, First Force, Second Force, Third Force, Fourth Force, Fifth Force and Sixth Force categories will participate in the men’s branch, while in the Women’s category First to Sixth Force will be played, with room for players of all levels of experience . Special categories will also be contested, which must have a minimum of 10 couples: Suma 3, which will be exclusively in the women’s category, in addition to Suma 7, as well as Suma 9, and Suma 6 and Suma 9, which will be in mixed mode.
In the special Suma 2 category, exclusively for the men’s branch, there will be a cash prize pool of 30 thousand pesos, to be distributed with 20 thousand for the champion couple and 10 thousand for the runners-up; These pairs must be made up of two First Force players or one from Open and one from Second Force. The Open category will have children and youth players who will be representing the state of Coahuila in the national Femepa tournament that will be played in the city of Querétaro, so the organization of this Fifth Annual Paddle One Club Tournament will launch the Open already in the final days of the event.
Registrations are available on the Padel Draw platform, with special prices when registering in a second category; During the tournament there will be an “icebreaker” on the night of Thursday, May 2, in which there will be a tasting of drinks, wines, cheeses and food for all participants.
