Outrage over alleged mistreatment of a security dog ​​at a Bogotá university

Another outrageous case of animal abuse occurred on the premises of a university in the country’s capital. According to the users who filed the complaint, The institution involved would be the Piloto University of Colombia.

According to the videos that circulated in the last few hours, a security guard is seen suddenly hitting one of the dogs that helps in surveillance with his hand.

This incident would have occurred on the terrace of the educational institution in Bogotá. A fact that, without a doubt, was criticized by hundreds of users on social networks.

However, the identity of the individual who attacked the animal, while it was helpless and crying, is still unknown.

For its part, Senator Andrea Padilla demanded that the competent authorities take action regarding the case of animal abuse reported at the Piloto University.

Likewise, other users in the comments of the senator’s publication pointed out that this case of abuse is not recent, since since 2019 the institution has not addressed poor conditions that support dogs face in surveillance tasks.

In response to the complaint, the University spoke out rejecting all types of violence or acts of animal abuse towards the animals that support the institution’s surveillance work. Furthermore, he assured that they will take “drastic measures to continue maintaining a safe environment, respectful and free of violence for everyone, including animals.”

Finally, Universidad Piloto stressed that as an institution they are governed by values ​​of respect, integrity and social responsibility, which are incompatible with any form of cruelty towards living beings.
