The well-known actor Mushfiq Shahverdiyev answered the questions of Telegraf.com.

– Mr. Mushfiq, you will appear in a new series with Elmaddin Jafarov. We would like you to inform us about the series.
– Elmeddin Jafarov and I met for the first time after 23 years after the show “Tek sabir”. We have high expectations from this series. Everyone is interested in how the project of Elmaddin Jafarov and Mushfig Shahverdiyev will turn out. The name of the series is “Black-and-white affairs”. It is known from the name that there will be dark affairs in the series.
The series will be broadcast on ATV channel. We will start the first training these days. The screenplay will be released once a week.
– What was the reason for your departure from the “Komedikhana” program broadcast on Khazar TV?
– I left “Komedikhana” last December. I participated in “Comedy Khana” since its creation. I left for a while, then came back again. There were minor problems. I could not get along with the old management of the television. That’s why I had to leave the project at some point.
The situation changed when People’s Artist Murad Dadashov was appointed head of the television. We have a very good relationship with him. Murad Dadashov invited me and I started working again in “Komedikhanada”. I worked there for more than two years.
I am not an enemy of the “Komedikhana” team. I maintain friendly relations with everyone. If I’m just tired and I don’t see myself there, I walk away from that project. It doesn’t mean I haven’t dated, mistreated, or had some other difficulty.
We still talk and meet with the members of “Komedikhana”, our relationship is excellent. Just like I mentioned, I felt overwhelmed.
All the guys who work there know that I have the ability to sign multiple jobs. In the film sector, in 2014, I found money through debt and expenses and made a film. Some of the people who worked there participated in my film. For example, Anvar Abbasov appeared in the film both as a screenwriter and as an actor.
– It is said that the fee in “Komedikhana” is high…
– Every actor in “Komedikhana” has his own fee. My fees have been good and I have not been dissatisfied. In general, I will say that I did not leave there because of the royalties, nor because of rumors, nor because of quarrels. Just after the concert, I felt that I should look for something new. Thus, I went to rest from “Komedikhana”.
After the break, we started writing the script for the film. Now a great offer has arrived. This is new to me. It is interesting to meet Elmeddin Jafarov after 23 years. Both of us will be starring in the series. Many famous people will be photographed. We are thinking of presenting a quality series.
– Will your show called “Bish-dush” continue on “Khazar” television in the new season?
– I try to never end or lose the relationship with the workplaces I work for. Our show reached the season finale. Hopefully, our program will be broadcast again on “Khazar” TV.
There may be a different show in the new season. I believe that the opinion of the channel management about me is the same as what I think. I am trying to talk to the workplace so that no frame is created for me. Let me work somewhere else and earn from there.
In four to five years, we will not be able to work on this energy. Let’s work while we have the opportunity. There are some companies that want to make you private. If you work for this company, you can’t film anywhere else. This is not correct.
– There is this system in foreign countries and brother Turkey. A contract is signed with the actor and a high fee is presented to him. But in Azerbaijan, this field has not yet improved.
– Yes. If you want to implement this system, implement it. But present two or three projects and pay 10-15 thousand manats for each project. Let this actor live like foreign celebrities. If you submit ten projects and pay for one project abroad, it is not right. For this reason, I am against such bans.
An actor can earn money wherever he wants to work. No, if you want the actor to be an employee of your company only, then pay a high fee and he does not need to work elsewhere.
– You lost the court case with Jafar Akhundzade, the film producer and director of “Cinemazadeh”. According to the decision, you must pay 26,000 manat compensation to the other party.
– The trial is still ongoing, the process is not over. You have not one, but two or three trials with Jafar Akhundzade. One of the trials is over, the other is not. Jafar Akhundzade continues this, and I do not react at all. Let him be busy with whatever free time he has…
It would be more efficient if we worked on projects instead of courts. I even wanted to make peace with Jafar Akhundzade so that we could resolve the issues. He disagreed with me. They raised the issue of compensation. For some reason, the work is delayed. I was given permission to appear in the film. The contract was concluded and one of the clauses stated that it could not be used in any screen production. He does not allow me to work anywhere and after three years he says to return my money. He wants me back.
Of course, our state has a law. I continue my work. Let’s see how far the work will go as a result. Let’s wait for the end of the court process, but I will continue my work. With God’s help, justice will find its place. I have proof.
I will even let you know that I extended a hand of reconciliation to the other party and said let’s make a film. Jafar Akhundzade did not agree. He said to return the money. This is not correct.
– Can you reveal the royalties you will receive from the new series? As far as we know, you are one of the highest paid comedians.
– I can’t reveal the amount, but they value our hard work normally. So I am happy with our fees. Thank God, we have always been appreciated in this field. We have won the love of the audience and we have a huge audience. Television and film companies also offer him a corresponding royalty.
– For some time, many films were made in the comedy genre. But light jokes and swearing in movies and series were criticized. Will you pay attention to such cases in the “Black-and-white” series?
– I and Elmeddin Jafarov are against the cases you mentioned. The scriptwriters of the series are Azer and Elsavar. Because they think like us, we will stay away from jokes below the navel as much as possible. True, there were such jokes in “Komedikhana” as well. We do these jokes to make money.
But we also have children in front of the screen. We should think about our children and the people around us. We have even discussed not to use the videos that are popular on the “TikTok” platform and other social networks in the series.
– Do you use the “TikTok” platform?
– I have entered “TikTok” once or twice, but I don’t use it. I even worry when I see children watching TikTok. I think that this platform has a negative effect on the upbringing of children. Even a person who does not use profanity in real life starts to profanity after entering the “TikTok” platform.
– Who are the three strongest comedians of Azerbaijan for you?
– For me, the three strongest comedy actors are Elmaddin Jafarov, honored artists Rafael Iskandarov and Joshgun Rahimov.
– Is there an actor you see as your rival?
– Every actor has his own style and script. As comedians, our style of making people laugh is different. For example, Elmeddin Jafarov is different from Rafael Iskenderov and Joshgun Rahimov.
– How is your relationship with your colleague Farda Khudaverdiyev?
– Our relations are minus 35 degrees. Unlike before, now it’s just “hello-thank you”…
– Did something happen between you?
– No, nothing happened… You should ask him about it. It seems that something happened to him. Nothing happened on our side, neither with me nor with Elmaddin Jafarov. Farda Khudaverdiyev broke off the relationship with us, and we had to take the same step.
– You left the media some time ago. What was the reason for this?
– There were some issues related to my personal life. I didn’t want to make a statement about it. Everyone has a private life. Not just me, millions of people have things going on in their private lives that they don’t want to tell anyone. It is life, it happens, we are human.
Each of us came from different families. Divorce cases are common today. People have become modern and have different opportunities in terms of technology. Earlier, there were no mobile phones, communication was established through home phones. The ladies did not know where the man went and where he came from. When the man came home, he said that he was coming from work. The woman also believed him and everything went on.
Now ladies sit on Instagram all day and chase men. For example, you go to a party, there are 10 guests, 4 of them are ladies. Those ladies are someone’s friends and acquaintances. If someone shares a photo from that party, the lady watching you from home sees it. This causes a problem.
Or if you are a famous person, it is very difficult to justify it when a girl approaches you on the street and takes a picture. Such problems in the lives of celebrities eventually lead to the disintegration of their families.
– Are you planning to get married for the second time?
– Fate. I can say neither “yes” nor “no”. Time will tell. Maybe I will continue my life single. Or I will meet a lady who understands me. I can’t say anything about it.
– You have a son, how is your relationship with your son?
– We communicate with Murad by phone. I haven’t seen Murad for two years, he lives in Ukraine. He will go to school next year, I hope.
– In addition to the upcoming series, what other creative plans do you have?
– I shot three films, “My name is Intigam 1”, “My name is Intigam 2” and “Hide and Seek”. With God’s help, I am also planning to make the fourth film. We have already started preparations.
– Are you preparing for more criticism or praise in your new film?
– There can be criticism and praise. I take both as normal. The main thing is that I still act with my own mind. As someone who made the first commercial film in this field, I know what the audience receives and does not accept. I know that there will be criticism in my new film.
In our field, there are those who pretend to want you, even if they don’t want you. There are those who say “your movie is great” and go to the teahouse after the night out and say “what a movie it was”. Therefore, no one’s opinion is decisive for me.
