Latvian tennis player Aļona Ostapenko moved up one place to 13th in the latest WTA rankings released on Monday.
Ostapenko will begin the new season this week at the WTA 500 in Brisbane.
Meanwhile Darja Semenistaja has lost four places and occupies the 144th position, while Diana Marcinkėviča has risen 37 places (309th) and Daniela Vismane – by seven (368th). Anastasija Sevastova (665th) dropped four places, Kamilla Barton (799th) regained six places, Anna Ozerova (1047th) did not change position, but Margarita Ignatieva (1153rd) and Valeriya Kargina (1225th) dropped two and three places . .).
The leader is still the Polish Iga Šviontek, followed by the Belarusian tennis player Arina Sabalenka and the American Cory Goff. Fourth was Kazakh Yelena Rybakina, fifth was American athlete Jessica Pegula. Tunisian Onsa Jabert was sixth and Czech Marketa Vondroushova seventh. In the doubles ranking, Ostapenko has recovered two positions and is 34th, Wismane remains in 181st place, Darja Semenistaja has dropped two positions (198th), but Marcinkeviča (221st) and Bartona (525th) have risen eight positions. Ignatiev (716th) and Kargina (1416th) do not change position, but Ozerova (1105th) and Maria Semenistaya fall by two spaces (1517th).
