VG wrote on Thursday that there is a hot market for heaters in Oslo right now.
A cold wave is sweeping across eastern Norway and temperatures could drop well below minus 20 degrees at the weekend.
One person who has been in the kitchen is the influencer and entrepreneur Oskar Westerlin (25).
He used stoves worth a total of 18,000 Norwegian kroner. On social media she said she would sell them for “blood money”.
Strong reactions
Westerlin has over 500,000 followers on TikTok and over 240,000 on Snapchat. She also posted a Reel on Instagram about heaters.
He has angered many people, who criticize the fact that he sells the heaters at a higher price than he bought them for himself.
In a text message to VG, Westerlin says it was simply a joke.
– We have a large office in an old building that we struggle to heat, so we went to Elkjøp to buy some heaters. And once there, I thought it would be fun to actually try and make some entertainment out of it, Westerlin writes.

Bought 25 heaters
On social media he referred to VG’s case of empty shelves and showed off all the heaters he had bought.
– You can ask yourself why. It might have something to do with the fact that I bought 25 stoves in the station. It will be 26 degrees Celsius on Saturday, I will sell them for blood, said Westerlin.
Westerlin says he received a lot of feedback afterward.
– I have received hundreds of hateful comments and long messages telling me that I take advantage of the weak in society, that people have lost trust in me and that this is beyond the limit of what can be joked about, writes to VG .
