Order for Russian exclusion from March 25 events

Officially… “cut” of all the official events to celebrate the national anniversary of the Revolution of 1821 are the Russian and Belarusian diplomats, by order of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Giorgos Gerapetritis. On this basis, an urgent signal was sent last Friday to all the diplomatic and consular Authorities of Greece – which I am revealing to you today -, asking them not to invite to this year’s events the representatives of Russia and Belarus (which operates, as it is known, as a faithful “satellite” of Moscow). “In view of the National Day of March 25, please do not send invitations to representatives of the Diplomatic and Consular Authorities of Russia and Belarus at your events,” states the document signed “by order of the minister” by the director of the ministry’s A5 Directorate for Russia. Needless to say, the reasons for the embargo are the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
