For some of the candidates it is their first experience, but others seek to be re-elected for a second term to follow up on the initiatives they presented.

Many politicians consider that PARLACEN does not have the legal force to make changes in all the countries that make it up, but others consider that from there they can create legal force so that Central Americans have better treatment when they pass through Mexico and for those who are already there. on American soil.

Unlike in previous years where there is euphoria in political parties to participate in PARLACEN, in 2024 the VAMOS and Nuestro Tiempo parties declined to participate in this electoral process. Another party that did not participate in these elections is Salvadoran Democracy of businessman Adolfo Salume Artiñano. This political institute remains registered since September 13, 2013.

In this 2024 only Nationalist Republican Alliance (ARENA), New Ideas, Farabundo Martí National Liberation Front (FMLN), National Concertation Party (PCN), Christian Democratic Party (PDC), Solidarity Force, Great Alliance for National Unity participate. (GANA) and Democratic Change.
