An operation by land and air of the Special Forces of the Navy and the Secretariat of Citizen Security and Protection (SSPC) left 12 alleged dead members and nine more detained from a cell of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) in the community of Huitzontla, in the Michoacan municipality of Chinicuila.
According to sources from the Security Cabinet, the presence of ex -military from Colombia, Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador has accentuated in the ranks of the Jalisco Nueva Generación cartel, particularly in Michoacán, which recruits them to strengthen their operational capacity, taking advantage of their experience in combat, logistics and military strategies.
