MEXICO CITY (apro).- The artificial intelligence (AI) company OpenAI could launch into direct competition, as it is developing its own search engine, but with AI already integrated.
The company unveiled “SearchGPT” on June 24, a prototype that aims to provide “fast and timely answers with clear and relevant sources.”
The prototype would have been designed to combine OpenAI’s AI models with data from the internet to respond with up-to-date information, as well as provide direct links to sources relevant to the search, so that users know where the information comes from and can quickly interact with even more results.
Additionally, follow-up questions will be available, just like in a conversation, with opportunities for users to interact. SearchGPT is currently in development and testing, so it is not yet available to the general public, but those interested in trying out the prototype can join a waiting list to use this feature and even send feedback to the developers.
