In Kadıköy, Istanbul, two people stopped an ambulance on a motorcycle and argued with the ambulance driver, claiming that there was no patient inside. The people were convinced after being shown the patient and then walked away. Reactions grew like an avalanche when the footage of the incident emerged. One of the people who made the move that made him say give up was taken into custody.

THEY INSISTED “THERE IS NO PATIENT INSIDE”

In Bostancı, two people riding on a motorcycle without a helmet blocked the path of an ambulance and claimed that there was no patient inside. The ambulance driver, who was trying to get the patient to the hospital by sounding the siren, became helpless and opened the door and showed the patient. Those moments were recorded by another officer.

While the reactions were following each other after the images spread on social media, Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca also shared a post on social media. Koca said, “Our friends who were transporting patients by ambulance in Kadıköy, Istanbul, experienced an incredible incident. Two people on a motorcycle insisted on not giving way to the ambulance. They wanted to see the patient. Finally, they did. Watch, you will not see humanity in these two people. The law is after them.”

ONE WAS TAKEN INTO DETENTION

Police took action upon the images. Emirhan Baydaroğlu, one of the two suspects who blocked the ambulance, was detained in Istanbul. It was learned that efforts to detain the motorcycle driver are continuing.
