As a result, 3 people died and 5 people were injured.
As soon as the incident occurred, local authorities and Thai Thuy district authorities were quickly present at the scene and took the injured person to the hospital for emergency treatment; At the same time, rescue victims trapped in the rubble and investigate the cause of the incident. At that time, it was determined that 1 victim died on the spot.
According to Thai Thuy district authorities, before the incident, Mr. Nguyen Van Doan (born 1985, residing in residential group 8, Diem Dien town, Thai Thuy district) rented land from Mr. Tran Xuan Son and Ms. Do Thi Lan Phuong to build a steel frame structure house (in Dong Mieu area, Bao Trinh residential group, Diem Dien town).
After that, Mr. Doan hired Mr. Dinh Van Du (born 1987, residing in Hong Dung commune, Thai Thuy district) and Mr. Tran Thanh Truong (born 1987, residing in Diem Dien town) to do the construction. To carry out the work, Mr. Du hired a group of 13 construction workers led by Mr. Trinh Ngoc Quang (born 1987, residing in Thuy Binh commune, Thai Thuy district) as the construction team leader. The construction project is a house of about 50 square meters, built on one floor with a steel frame structure.
At about 3:00 p.m. the same day, a group of 13 workers were pouring concrete on the first floor roof when suddenly the roof collapsed, causing 8 people to be in trouble; in which Mr. D.VN (born 1960, residing in Thuy Son commune, Thai Thuy district) died on the spot, 6 other injured people were taken to the hospital for emergency treatment and 1 victim was trapped in the rubble.

At 8:30 p.m. the same day, the authorities found Mr. V.D.T. (born 1974, residing in Thuy Van commune, Thai Thuy district, Thai Binh province) was a victim trapped in a construction collapse in Diem Dien town and died.
After completing the legal procedures, the authorities handed over the bodies of the unfortunate victims to the victims’ families to take care of the funeral; At the same time, Thai Thuy district authorities held a meeting to discuss remedial measures and verify and investigate to clarify the cause of the incident.
Up to now, 1 more victim out of 6 injured workers has died. The total number of deaths so far is 3 people and 5 people are being treated at the hospital.
