NVIDIA, the undisputed leader in the graphics card market, delivered a blow at CES 2024 by exclusively presenting its latest innovation: the RTX 40 Super series.
This new set of graphics cards aims, in addition to maintaining NVIDIA’s supremacy in the PC gaming market, to directly challenge the competition that AMD has become, offering superior performance at a more affordable price.
What’s new in NVIDIA’s Super RTX 40 series?
This new series consists of three different models: the RTX 4070 Super, the RTX 4070 Ti Super, the RTX 4080 Super.
All incorporate the new, modern Ampere architecture. Economized to provide exceptional performance compared to previous generations.
Furthermore, these graphics cards are equipped with known Ray Tracing technologywhich allows you to create ultra-realistic lighting and shadow effects in games.
Technical specifications of the models
Here are the data published at CES 2024:
- RTX4080Super: It’s the most powerful of the series, with 16GB of GDDR6X memory, a powerful clock speed of 1.8GHz, and 23.8 teraflops of computing power. The price is $999 USD
- RTX 4070 The super: It would be like a middle-of-the-road option, with a not-insignificant 12GB of GDDR6X memory, a clock speed of 1.7GHz, and an astonishing compute speed of 18.2 teraflops. Price $699 USD.
- RTX4070Super: This would be the most “economical” option of the three, with its 8 GB of GDDR6 memory, a clock speed of 1.6 GHz and a calculation speed a little lower than the previous one, but which is still very high with 13.4 teraflops. The price is $449 USD.
These powerful graphics cards will be available on the market at the end of January 2024, coinciding with the closing of CES 2024.
