The warning sent to phones using the earthquake notification application caused fear and anxiety in many people, especially since it was in the middle of the night. While some users stated that they did not feel any shaking, the sound of the alarm disrupted their sleep patterns.
AFAD announced that such warnings coming to smartphones match the official earthquake data of authorized institutions.
