Vienna (OTS) – In November 2023, the federal and state governments agreed on health care reform as part of the financial equalization system. A total of 14 billion euros will be available for health and care by 2028 – an average of 2.8 billion euros per year.
In a special meeting of the Federal Target Control Commission, the federal government, the states and the social insurance system are today setting the course for the planned reforms and measures in the health sector. The so-called target control agreement sets out the rules for the use of the additional funds at federal level. In the areas of vaccinations and digitalization, decisions are made jointly on the use of the funds.
