On February 28, the Police Investigation Agency of Tan Phu District, Ho Chi Minh City announced that they had prosecuted the suspect and arrested Nguyen Tam Duy (born 1983, residing in Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City) for temporary detention for the act of Possession. illegal property.

According to the investigation, before that, Duy went to the bank on Tay Thanh street (Tay Thanh ward, Tan Phu district) to deposit 1.5 million VND into his account.

Due to negligence during the accounting process, the bank employee mistakenly sent the amount from 1.5 million VND to 1.5 billion VND to Duy.

When he returned home, Duy discovered that he had an additional 1.5 billion VND in his account. Feeling greedy, Duy transferred 50 million VND to his friend to withdraw and keep it for him.

Discovering the incident, the bank quickly canceled the transaction and recovered 1 billion 450 million VND. The remaining amount of money was illegally seized by Duy.

After that, the bank invited Duy to work and clearly explained the incident of transferring the wrong amount of money, but Duy did not cooperate, did not agree to sign any records, and did not return the money appropriated illegally. Law for banks.

After asking Duy many times to return the mistakenly transferred money, the bank did not file a complaint with the police.
