North Korea confirmed that it tested a cruise missile warhead and test-launched a new anti-aircraft missile in the country’s West Sea.
This morning (April 20), Central News Agency KCNA of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea said it tested a cruise missile warhead and test-fired a new anti-aircraft missile in the West Sea of North Korea yesterday.
According to the North Korean Missile Administration, the super-large warhead in the test was designed for the Hwasal-1 Ra-3 strategic cruise missile and the test launch of the new Pyoljji-1-2 air defense missile.

North Korea’s strategic cruise missile is believed to be designed to carry nuclear warheads.
The firm KCNA emphasized that both of these tests are part of the regular activities of the government and defense scientific institutes aimed at rapidly developing technology in various aspects such as tactical and technical performance as well as such as operating new weapon systems.
In addition, the Central News Agency of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea also confirmed that these tests were not related to the regional situation.
Currently, South Korea, Japan and the US have not given any response regarding this missile launch.
