Norma Lucía Piña orders an investigation into former collaborators of Arturo Zaldívar

Derived from an anonymous complaint filed on April 9, the president of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN) and the Federal Judiciary Council (CJF), Norma Lucía Piña Hernández, ordered an investigation against former collaborators of the minister in retirement, Arturo Zaldívar, for allegedly violating the autonomy and independence of the Judicial Branch of the Federation (PJF), with the intention of satisfying personal interests and those of third parties.

The accusations presented point against Carlos Antonio Alpízar Salazar, former secretary general of the Presidency of the CJF, who is accused of allegedly exerting pressure, extortion and threats against judges to make them rule in favor of his interests, promising political and economic benefits, favorable assignments, they indicated. judicial sources.

The complaint filed also involves the former head of the Executive Disciplinary Secretariat, Judge Jaime Santana Turral, one of the areas of the Judiciary Council supposedly most used to pressure judges and magistrates.

Likewise, it is noted that the General Investigation Unit of Administrative Responsibilities and the then Comptroller’s Office of the Judiciary, whose head was Arely Gómez González, now an auditor at the Superior Audit of the Federation (ASF), through threats to declare guilty holders of administrative responsibilities, using existing complaints or inventing some.

The complaint also indicates that the former president of the SCJN and the former Legal Counsel of the Presidency of the Republic, Julio Scherer, conspired to attack the autonomy and independence of the heads of the jurisdictional bodies.

Consequently, “given the possibility that the aforementioned public officials of the Judicial Branch of the Federation, in the performance of the functions of the indicated positions, incur any cause of administrative responsibility for the probable commission of the behaviors described in advance; “It is necessary to order an investigation in order to clarify the facts reported,” the complaint states.

“In the understanding that with respect to Arturo Zaldívar Lelo de Larrea, former Minister of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation, the Federal Judiciary Council lacks jurisdiction to investigate and, where appropriate, punish the acts of which he is accused. ..”, he adds.

The complaint also names the former director of the Federal Defender Institute, Netzai Sandoval, and the now magistrate, Felipe de Jesús Delgadillo Padierna, who As a control judge of the South Prison, he issued justified preventive detention against the former Secretary of Social Development, Rosario Robles, for the “Master Scam” case.
