Price and release
HMD has teamed up with Heineken and creative company Bodega to bring the boring phone to market. At present this phone is not for sale and will be available as a gift. However, no confirmation has been made by the company regarding the sale.
Heineken’s website says that 5,000 units of the phone will be produced. Users can register on the Heineken website to learn more about device availability.
What are its functions?
A boring phone is a phone that doesn’t have access to the Internet, social media, or other apps that would allow you to spend more time with your coworkers.
It works just like the feature phones and retro phones of the previous generation. It can be used to make phone calls and send and receive SMS.
Like other flip phones, you can hang up with the screen off. The phone has a clear exterior and holographic stickers, similar to phones from the early 2000s. The design matches the Nokia 2660 Flip.
This boring phone has a 2.8 inch QVGA internal display and 1.77 inch cover display. It has a 0.3 megapixel camera and 3.5mm headphone jack.
This phone supports calling and texting on 2G, 3G and 4G networks.
The battery provides up to a week of standby time and up to 20 hours of talk time on a single charge. Also includes the popular snake game.
