“No, my Alexis, we didn’t leave because we lost. We left because we saw the depletion of our party and who can argue with the current situation in SYRIZA that we were not justified by this choice.
And this did not start with Kasselakis, who, at least in this respect, is right when he says that if we had a solid party he would not have won.
It started on the night of the 2019 election, where you announced to our party that you would change everything, the moment we got 31.5%, an impressive percentage after implementing a memorandum.
It started when you refused to make a political plan to deal with the anti-SYRIZA front and the credibility deficit that all the polls showed after 2017.
It started when you wanted to reach Mitsotakis and Androulakis with over 100,000 votes in the internal party elections and you forced members to vote with two euros on the same day.
Start with your tolerance of internal enemy theories, and from what we see internal enemies are multiplying within SYRIZA.
It started when you first wanted the unmediated relationship with the base, i.e. without any accountability to the institutions, creating a party that does not discuss politics and ideology.
So before you “analyze” the reasons why some of us left, why not start with a basic self-criticism? That would be a good start!”
