No jerks and jumping into the conversation. Biden and Trump will soon face off in the first election debate

The campaigns of Joe Biden and Donald Trump have agreed on the rules for the first televised debate before the November presidential election, which is likely to take place on June 27. The debate match, televised by CNN, is scheduled to last 90 minutes and the candidates for the office of the head of state will not be able to use any hint cards during it. If they don’t have a word, their microphone will be muted.

The televised debate that will take place in Atlanta will be exceptional without an audience, as requested by incumbent President Biden’s campaign, while Trump’s would prefer as many viewers as possible. About who will stand on which side of the stage, decided by a coin toss. Both politicians will only be able to take a pen and a pad of paper to the podium and will not be able to contact their teams during the pair of commercial breaks.

CNN also assured that its anchors Jake Tapper and Dana Bash “will use all available means to ensure respect for time limits and a civilized discussion”.

The second televised debate will take place in September and will be broadcast on ABC.
