Bayern Munich scored a hat trick after losing the third match in a row. Last Sunday night, the current champions of the German Bundesliga lost 3-2 against VFL Bokam. The disappointing loss saw Bayern fall 8 points clear of table-topping Leverkusen from undefeated.
Earlier, Bayern lost to Leverkusen in a thrilling league match last week. In the same week, Bayern lost 1–0 against Italian club Lazio in the first leg of the Champions League last 16. As a result, coach Thomas Tussell is under heavy pressure after losing three times in a row.
Playing at Bokem’s home ground, however, Bayern were ahead from the start. He made the team ahead by scoring in just 14 minutes. But Harry Kane’s side fell behind before the break. In the 38th minute of the match Takuma Aseno and in the 44th minute Keven Skolotarvik scored for Bokam. The hosts lead by 2-1.
Bayern scored again in the 78th minute of the match. This time Kevin Stoger scored from the penalty. Bayern fell behind 3-1.
Harry Kane reduced the gap by scoring in the 87th minute of the match. Bayern made it 3-2 with a goal from the Bundesliga’s top scorer. This English star has scored 25 goals in the league so far.
However, Kane missed a great opportunity to score in the 19th minute of the match. He sent the ball over the goal bar with an uncontrolled shot.
Angry fans started throwing tennis balls on the field after Bayern’s poor performance. This delays the game for a while. Afterwards, however, the game continued as usual.
Dawot Upamesano saw a red card in the 76th minute of the match. Bayern became a team of 10 people. As a result, it becomes difficult for them to score. Kane got a goal despite playing one less.
Bayern is in the second place of the table with 50 points after playing 22 matches in the Bundesliga this season. On the other hand, Bokam rose to the 11th position with 25 points after this win. Leverkusen is at the top with 58 points.
