The next session of APRICOT (Asia Pacific Regional Internet Conference on Operational Technologies) will be held in Dhaka. The conference will be held in Dhaka from February 24 next year. Emdadul Haque, President of ISPAB, an organization of internet service providers in the country, told the Bangla Tribune on Thursday night (February 29) on a mobile phone from Bangkok.
Emdadul Haque is leading the Bangladesh delegation at the Apricot-2024 conference in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. From there, he said, more than hundred representatives from Bangladesh are participating this time. Secretary General of the organization Nazmul Karim Bhuiyan is with him.
It is known that Apricot conference in Bangkok started on February 21. Ends Friday (March 1). The 57th conference of APNIC (Asia Pacific Network Information Center) has also started there. Emdadul Haque said that thousands of participants took part in this year’s conference.

He said, ‘Since we are the next host, our aim is to plan how to increase the number of participants. Experts will come from all over the world. Our ISP engineers will teach you hands-on how to make networks more secure, stronger. This will benefit the country’s ISP sector.
Incidentally, ISPAB is the organizer of Apricot in Dhaka. In various workshops and seminars of the conference, the details of the Internet operation system will be discussed along with the exchange of engineering knowledge as well as policy issues such as keeping the Internet service running in the face of disasters and Internet diplomacy. Apricot members from 97 countries participated in the conference.
