The Minister of Foreign Affairs of New Zealand, Winston Peters, announced a new set of sanctions against Russia in connection with its military operations in Ukraine. It was reported by the official website of the New Zealand government.

“New Zealand has sanctioned 61 more Russian individuals and legal entities, including those involved in sanctions evasion procurement networks,” Peters said.

New names included in the list, according to the publication, include organizations that acquire technology for Russia’s defense industry and senior executives of some Russian banks. Persons involved in the acquisition of weapons from North Korea were also sanctioned.

According to New Zealand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the country will also import oil of Russian origin at the maximum price threshold set by the G7 countries.

In addition, New Zealand has banned the export of restricted goods to Russia and Belarus through third countries.
