New Zealand Cricket has unveiled a new jersey on its official social media account which is similar to the jersey of the 1990s. New Zealand Cricket shared a photo of the jersey on its official social media account and wrote the caption: “The 2024 T20 World Cup team kit will be available in the NZC store.”
Mark Chapman, Jimmy Neesham, Ish Sodhi and Tim Southee were photographed wearing New Zealand’s new T20 World Cup jersey. Recall that the New Zealand team had reached the final of the 2021 T20 World Cup, where it lost to arch-rival Australia.
New Zealand have been drawn in Group C along with West Indies, Afghanistan, Papua New Guinea and Uganda for the upcoming tournament. The Kiwis will begin their 2024 T20 World Cup campaign against Afghanistan on June 7.
Meanwhile, South Africa on Sunday unveiled its new jersey for the 2024 T20 World Cup. Cricket South Africa shared a picture of the jersey on its social media account and captioned it: “Time to prepare for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. You can pre-order the t-shirt through this website to witness the spectacle on the world stage. Replica t-shirts will be available from May 15th.
Recall that in the last T20 World Cup, the South African team had failed to qualify for the semi-finals. The Netherlands were eliminated from the tournament after defeating the Proteas. South Africa has been drawn in Group D along with Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Netherlands and Nepal in the upcoming tournament. South Africa will start its campaign against Sri Lanka on June 3.
