The first day of the year is characterized by rain that hits various regions of the state. The storm caused several accidents this Monday afternoon (1/1), on BR-381, in Minas Gerais.

The first was towards Vitória, km 425, after the Caeté junction. According to the information provided by the Fire Brigade personnel who intervened on the scene, the driver lost control and crashed into the road wall until stopping at the beginning of the bridge.

The car had three occupants, a man and two women, who were not injured and went to a nearby restaurant, waiting for the tow truck to remove the vehicle.
The second accident occurred less than 5 km later, with a car overturning on BR-381. According to the driver, he was going towards João Monlevade, when entering a curve he lost control of the car, hit the canal, overturned and ended up on the other side of the track, in the direction of Belo Horizonte. The driver was alone and was not injured. The Federal Highway Police (PRF) intervened on site to rescue the victim.
The third accident occurred two kilometers later, still in the direction of Vitória. A sedan, headed towards the capital, lost control and ended up in the bush. One lane of the stretch was closed by the PRF to remove the vehicle. No one is hurt.
