New US diplomat for Afghanistan belonging to the royal family

US President Donald Trump last week appointed Mary Kabir Siraj Bashping for Afghanistan in the South and Central Asia Bureau, who belongs to Afghanistan’s royal family.

According to a statement from the US Department of State, my Bureau of South and Central Asia will perform the duties as Deputy Assistant Secretary.

The bureau sees the US, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Bhutan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

Who are my Kabir Siraj?

Born in 1992 in the US city of California, Marie Kabir is from Afghanistan’s Barakzai royal family.

The family ruled Afghanistan from 1823 to 1978, which was founded by Dost Muhammad Khan and Mohammad Zahir Shah was the last ruler of the family in the 70s.

According to the United States University of Virginia, from where my Kabir holds a law degree, his grandmother has been the queen of Afghanistan and was one of the first human rights activists in Afghanistan.

According to the university, my Kabir’s sister Latifa Kabir was one of the first female journalists in Afghanistan, who later became associated with the Voice of America.

During the war against the Soviet Union in Afghanistan in 1979, my Kabir’s parents moved to Europe from where they moved to the United States.

After completing his early education in Germany, he graduated in political science in 2016 and then received a law degree from the University of Virginia.

My Kabir was fond of going to civil services and that was the reason why he worked as a clerk with Judge Kent Jordan for two years in New York.

This was the time when US troops began withdrawing from Afghanistan in 2021. In 2022 and 2023, he got a legal adviser job in the US State Department.

After Trump was elected president, he was made part of the committee, which was investigating the US withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Later, according to the University of Virginia, he was appointed the head of the same investigation committee. According to the Foreign Ministry, on April 7, she became the Deputy Assistant Secretary to Afghanistan in the Bureau of South and Central Asia.

According to the Foreign Ministry, before the deployment, she has been working as a senior council and sub -committee staff director in the US State Department.

According to the University of Virginia, my father, Habib Kabir Siraj, worked as a spokesman for 10 years with US troops at Bagram Airport in Afghanistan.
