US magazine “Forbes” published the 38th global ranking of dollar billionaires.
Publika.az reports that Bernard Arnault, the president and CEO of the Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy group of companies, has been leading the ranking of the world’s richest billionaires for the second year.
It is reported that he has become richer by 22 billion dollars in one year and currently has a fortune of 233 billion dollars.
The second and third places, as a year ago, are shared by Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos, respectively.
Mark Zuckerberg is back in the top 10 this year.
According to the list of “Forbes”, the wealth of the 20 richest people in the world is estimated at 2.48 trillion dollars.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s return to the top 10 was unexpected. During the year, it earned more than 100 billion dollars and took the 4th place (16th last year).
There is only one woman in this year’s top 20 – Françoise Bettencourt-Mayers. The fortune of the vice-chairman of the L’Oréal cosmetics empire increased slightly to $99.5 billion, but she took 15th place and confirmed her status as the richest woman in the world.
But Alice Walton, one of the heirs of Sam Walton, the founder of the “Walmart” empire, left the top, falling behind her brothers who took 18th and 19th places.
Charles and Julia Koch also left the top 20.
