New pitcher arrives for Algodoneros

The right-hander comes with experience of playing with three teams in the Major Leagues.

– Just yesterday, the Algodoneros announced that they will reinforce their starting rotation with the arrival of right-handed pitcher, Ryan Castellani, who will join their ranks starting tomorrow, Wednesday in Aguascalientes, making his first start on Thursday.

Born in Philadelphia 28 years ago, he is 1.93 meters tall and weighs 98 kilograms. He has a career of three seasons in the Major Leagues with the Colorado Rockies (2020-2021) and the Oakland Athletics (2022).

Castellani debuted in the Majors on August 8, 2020, facing the Seattle Mariners, after spending 6 years in Rockies branches. In that season he had 9 starts with a record of one win and 4 losses, for a 5.82 ERA, being his most active campaign.

For 2022, he joined the Oakland Athletics organization, with whom he was active in 3 games. His total numbers in GL are one win and four losses, 5.47 in earned run percentage allowed, 10 starts, for a total of 49 and a third innings pitched and 28 strikeouts.
