Starting this Thursday (11th), according to the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services, all states will have to start issuing the new National Identity Card (CIN).
In Minas Gerais the new identity card was issued on December 27th and so far the issues have exceeded 50 thousand units. The new document will have a physical and a digital version, with the same layout and valid for the national territory, from 4 August this year.
The document will now adopt the registration number in the Registry of Taxpaying Natural Persons (CPF), as the national general registration and first copy of the new document. But after all, is a new identity free?
The answer is: YES ✅🪪
The first issue of the CIN is free, regardless of the existence of other forms of identity cards in previous models. The old document will be valid until 2032.
Those who request a second copy of the document will pay R$105.59. The DAE guide must be issued via the site and paid at Casas Lotéricas or via PIX. It is worth mentioning that identification stations do not receive cash payments. The applicant paying online or PIX must wait for the payment to be processed. At Casa Lotérica, withdrawals are made instantly.
According to the coordinator of the Fingerprint Division of the PCMG Identification Institute, delegate Danielle Aguiar, in Minas Gerais, the CIN is now available in all Identification Stations. It will therefore not be necessary to immediately change your wallet with the new model.
