New details on Heath Ledger’s death – What was found at his bedside

It may have been 16 years since the death of the actor Heath Ledger, but to this day stories of conspiracy and various revelations about the causes come to light.

The Oscar-winning actor for his role as the Joker in “The Dark Knight” passed away from an accidental overdose of painkillers, anxiety and sleeping pills. Recently, director Stephen Gagan said that the Australian actor had other ambitions at the time.

During an episode of the “Developmental Hell” podcast, Gagan said he had an idea in the early 2000s to turn Gladwell’s book, “Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking,” into a movie.

He died reading a movie script

Initially, Gladwell and Gagan had considered Leonardo DiCaprio for the lead role, but ultimately decided that Ledger would be better for the role. After the tragic death of the actor, Gagan revealed that he received a call from Ledger’s father, breaking the unpleasant news.

“Next to the lifeless body on the bed was our script and the book was on the nightstand,” Gagan said, quoting Ledger’s father.

β€œI think my number was written in the script. Those people, as you can imagine, were shocked and they called that number and I don’t know why,” he added.
