New Democracy MP Yiannis Yattsos is losing his seat

Yiannis Yattsos of New Democracy, who had participated in the 2023 national elections as a candidate in Grevena, is losing his seat in the Parliament.

The Electoral Court accepted today (20/5) the objection of the New Democracy MP candidate in the same constituency, Thanasis Stavropoulou.

The objection was based on the constitutional provision which provides that “the duties of the deputy are incompatible with a partner or shareholder or member of the Board of Directors of a company, which undertakes projects or studies or related contracts of a development or investment nature”.

ANKO is also considered as such a company, as a member of the Board of Directors, Mr. Yatios, according to the complaint, did not resign on time.
