Vienna (OTS) – From Friday to Saturday, the Viennese NEOS gather in Salzburg for a major retreat. The focus is on preparations for the super election year 2024 and the realignment of district work. The participants, around 120 in number, use this opportunity to sharpen their strategies and prepare for the challenges and opportunities ahead.
Christoph Wiederkehr, NEOS Vienna regional spokesman and deputy mayor, emphasizes: “We would like to use the momentum after the extremely successful Chamber of Labor elections in Vienna and transfer this to the upcoming EU and National Council elections as well as the entire organization. Because we are the only party in Austria that consistently for the United States of Europe. At the national level, we aim to improve Austria and are prepared to take on government responsibility here too.”
The NEOS are already burning with their ideas for the 2025 municipal council elections in Vienna. “We have achieved significant successes in Vienna, such as increasing the education budget to 4 billion euros per year, introducing free lunches at Vienna all-day schools and abolishing the ORF state levy. These achievements are only a fraction of our government work and evidence of the successful path , which we would like to continue for Vienna.”
Recently, the NEOS have drawn attention to themselves with initiatives such as the presentation of the German offensive, a 5-point plan to strengthen the language skills of the young generation and the demand for a residency requirement.
The NEOS have also reorganized their district work since the beginning of the year and are thus setting fresh, new accents in the respective neighborhoods. Together they strive to achieve improvements and progress, without overlooking any issues, even the seemingly smaller ones. For NEOS it is clear that every district in Vienna has its own unique challenges and needs.
“The major meeting in Salzburg marks an important milestone in our preparation for the super election year 2024. From the deputy mayor to the district level, we are working with passion and determination to implement our ideas and visions for Vienna, Austria and Europe,” says NEOS Vienna regional manager Philipp Kern is convinced.
