Loacker: “What our companies need has long been clear: less bureaucracy and fewer taxes. The Chancellor and his government would just have to do it.”
Vienna (OTS) – “Austrian companies don’t want another bonus. They want the freedom to do business independently. That means: Less bureaucracy, fewer taxes,” says NEOS economics spokesman Gerald Loacker after the federal government’s urban summit. “The Chancellor also does not need to make excuses for the EU – Austria is not losing competitiveness because of Europe, Austria is losing competitiveness against the other European states because of the inaction of its federal government.”
It is not enough, says Loacker, “for Chancellor Nehammer to talk like a mantra about wanting to reduce non-wage labor costs. If we want our companies to continue to secure our jobs and our prosperity and for Austria not to fall under the wheels as a business location and to remain competitive, then we must finally act. “We NEOS have presented a comprehensive model for reducing non-wage labor costs that would give both employers and employees financial flexibility – talking alone is not enough in the fight against inflation, the Chancellor must finally do something.”
