“Hraparak” newspaper writes: “At the beginning of the last week, the delegation led by Nikol Pashinyan was on an official two-day visit to Egypt. At first glance, this was a return visit to the visit of the Egyptian president to Armenia in January of last year. However, the government’s propaganda machine tried to convey mystery and great importance to the visit.
They even spread rumors that perhaps arms purchase deals were discussed. We tried to find out, apart from the fact that a group of people took a walk in Cairo and Nazeli Baghdasaryan was photographed with a white rose on his chest, what other achievements were recorded during this visit.
At the closed meeting with the CP in the parliament yesterday, Pashinyan referred to that visit and noted that it was an ordinary official visit, and did not even hide his disappointment that they received nothing but a waste of state funds. And the official message about the Egyptian visit says: “Prime Minister Pashinyan thanked for the warm hospitality and added that he had productive discussions with the Egyptian president.
Nikol Pashinyan expressed hope that economic cooperation will deepen along with excellent bilateral political relations as a result of his official visit. In this regard, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of the meeting with the businessmen.
At the same time, it was emphasized that the session of the Armenia-Egypt intergovernmental cooperation commission and the parallel business forum will be held in the near future, during which various investment proposals will be presented. Pashinyan also emphasized the importance of Egypt’s support in logistical matters in sending humanitarian aid from Armenia to Gaza.
At the meeting, the interlocutors discussed issues related to the expansion of trade circulation, the possibilities of implementation of investment programs.
