NATO previously expressed its support for Ukraine
In an innovative security measure, NATO members agreed to establish a “drone wall” to protect their borders with Russia. The Minister of the Interior of Lithuania, Agne Bilotaitėinformed the BNS agency about this joint project, which seeks to reinforce security on the borders of these countries.
This project aims to monitor borders and prevent provocations from countries considered unfriendly, such as Russia and Belarus. «This is something completely new: a drone border from Norway to Poland, the aim of which would be to protect our border with the help of drones and other technologies»explained Bilotaitė.

The “drone wall” will not only be limited to physical infrastructure and conventional surveillance systems. It will also incorporate the use of drones to monitor border areas and anti-drone systems to intercept any unmanned aerial vehicles used for smuggling or provocations.
“Not only the physical infrastructure, the surveillance systems, but also the use of drones and other technologies that would also allow us to protect ourselves from provocations from unfriendly countries, and avoid smuggling”added the minister.
