National Drill: President of EsSalud verified the COE

According to him Emergency Operations Center (EOC) of EsSalud, in the event of an earthquake magnitude 9 followed by a tsunami, it is estimated that there would be around 118,979 injured of different levels of severity, as well as 15,848 deaths. Consequently, the president of EsSalud commissioned the development of a plan for the stage after the natural disaster, which was also put to the test during this simulated exercise. As part of this preparation, the following stations were organized.

Start Triage: In this place, affected people who arrive at the hospital will be received so that an internist can evaluate the severity of their condition. Access points will be established for pedestrians and ambulances.

Attention in rooms (green, yellow and red): Patients with a mild, moderate or severe diagnosis will be assigned to each tent accordingly.

Operations room: The necessary equipment will be in place to care for victims with very serious diagnoses, including the presence of anesthesiologists, general surgeons and specialists.

Transitional pharmacy: The pharmacy will be located on the same esplanade for the distribution of care kits, which will be differentiated according to the type of triage.

black triage: In this place the grouping of the lifeless bodies will take place.

At each station, there will be health professionals such as nurses, nursing technicians, emergency doctors, emergency nurses, intensive care doctors, pediatricians, traumatologists, cardiologists, neurologistsamong others.
