As Javi Hernandez thought, the match was not easy. Despite progressing to the first leg of the last sixteen of the Champions League, Barcelona left the field with a 1-1 draw with Napoli.
The two clubs who are in the domestic league gave a lackluster performance in the first half. Barca forward Lewandowski broke the deadlock in the 60th minute. After 15 minutes, Napoli’s Nigerian forward Victor Osimene made the scoreline 1-1.
In the first half, however, Barça played more organized football than Napoli. Napoli were messy. They did not want to come out of their half. Nama Lamine Yamal created the scoring chance to become the youngest player to play in the knockout stages for Barca. Unfortunately one of his shots went wide of the target. Another save was made by the opposing goalkeeper. Before Lewandowski’s goal, Ilkay Gundogan tried twice but could not keep the shot on target.
On the other hand, the Arsenal-Porto match was heading towards a draw. But Arsenal saw an unexpected defeat by conceding a goal in added time. The match was goalless at full time. Four minutes into added time the score line was still one. Geleno’s deflected shot in the next minute decided fate.
Arsenal failed to keep a shot on target for the first time since 2011. Those who dream of playing in the quarter finals after 2010.
