Mustafa Laghtiri.. The voice of modern Moroccan literature and a mirror of social transformations

Mustafa Laghtiri, born in 1965 in Casablanca, is a Moroccan writer and novelist who has managed to leave his own mark on the literary scene in Morocco and the rest of the Arab world.

Mustafa began his educational career in the city where he was born, then continued his studies until he graduated from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities in Ain Chock. He chose the teaching profession, which he engaged in from 1991 until his retirement in 2023 at his request.

In addition, he was awarded honorary membership in the Turkish Linguistics Academy in 2023, an honor that reflects his literary influence and universality.

Although retired from teaching, Mustafa Laghtiri remains active in the literary scene, continuing to supervise literary projects and write articles and critical texts. He is also keen to support young writers and encourage them to develop their literary skills, by giving lectures and participating in cultural forums and festivals.
