After the first edition in 2018, where more than 18 thousand entries were registered, Angolans will experience new emotions with the musical imitation competition.
In 2018, Anderson Mário was the big winner when he imitated/interpreted the king of pop music, Michael Jackson. Becoming the winner allowed him to record two singles, I LOVE YOU and Dedicatória, which were released by the Unitel Kisom music platform, in addition to recording a record produced by the producer Arca Velha, which will be released later this year.
Ana Gomes, one of the 3 finalists, who imitated singer Whitney Houston, was also awarded the recording of an album, and is in the studio with musician and producer Caló Pascoal from the production company Quebra Galho. Ana Gomes already has a single on the market (Só Quero), available on Unitel’s Kisom platform.
Registration for the competition began on the 9th of May on the ZAP website www.zap.co.ao, and will run until the 1st of July. At the same time, interested parties can register through the Unitel Estrelas ao Palco app, available for Android and IOS. This application, created exclusively for the competition, has all the information about the program and registration requirements, as well as the following phases.
The pre-selection of candidates will follow the following schedule:
From the 14th to the 16th of May – Cabinda – Cine Chiloango
From the 20th to the 22nd of May – Huambo – Petro Atlético and on Radio Huambo
From the 27th to the 29th of May – Huíla – Nave (1 AND 2) ROOM (3)
From the 3rd to the 5th of June – Benguela Cine Kalunga and at the Mediateca
From the 10th to the 12th of June – Luanda general casting Main pavilion of the Cidadela
From the 24th to the 26th of June – Malanje – Palanca Negra multipurpose pavilion
