“Music of Two Worlds for String Orchestra” in San Javier

With the musical program called “Music of Two Worlds for String Orchestra”, which includes works by European and Latin American authors, such as: A. Vivaldi, GF Handel; Claudio Santoro (Brazil); Astor Piazzola (Argentina) and Sergio Berchenko (Chile), the San Javier de Loncomilla Cultural Corporation begins this Thursday (18), at 7:30 p.m., its 2024 artistic season, conducted by the TMSJ String Orchestra under the direction of the maestro Pedro Sierra.

The 2024 Season considers educational children’s plays; educational training plays; traditional theater; rock music concerts; symphonic concerts; dance works, among others. This will be carried out thanks to the contribution of the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Heritage, which will finance the 17 artistic events in 2024 together with the Municipality of San Javier.

The Ministry has made resources available to cultural entities to finance the billboards of Regional and Community Theaters.

Programming

The programming of the String Orchestra, under the baton of maestro Pedro Sierra, includes works by universal composers such as Chopin, Beethoven, Mozart, Bach. Guest soloists include: Lorena Eckell (Argentine pianist); Oscar Bohórquez (German violinist) and Iván Latapiat (composer and performer of Andean instruments from France).

Among the invited artists, in the popular field, Eduardo Peralta and Felo stand out, troubadours of Chilean popular music; the singer-songwriters Elizabeth Morris and Magdalena Matthey, each of them with the TMSJ String Orchestra.

Folklore will be represented by Los Chileneros de Talca with their program “Tonadas Sinfónicas”.

The Dance will be present with the “Guimallen” Ancestral Dance Group

In terms of music for young people, genres such as: Rock; Hip Hop and Pop.
