The Albanian branch of the Independent Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association (MÜSİAD) was opened with a ceremony held in the capital Tirana.
Deputy Minister of Trade Mahmut Gürcan, Turkish Ambassador to Tirana Tayyar Kağan Atay, MÜSİAD Deputy Chairman Davut Altunbaş, MÜSİAD Albania President Muhammet İşler, representatives of Turkish institutions in the country, as well as representatives of Albanian institutions and business associations from many countries attended the ceremony.
Deputy Minister Gürcan said in his speech that the Turkish economy continues to grow.
Expressing that the trade between Turkey and Albania is growing and developing, Gürcan said, “Our commercial cooperation with our friendly and brotherly country Albania is developing and deepening day by day. We attach importance to our relations with Albania with a win-win approach, both to investing in Albania and to Albanian businessmen investing in Turkey.”
Ambassador Atay also stated that the newly opened branch will play a very valuable role in raising the economic and commercial relations between the two countries to a level befitting the existing excellent political relations, and said, “The interest shown by our valuable Albanian brothers in the MÜSİAD Albania branch and the fact that we have gained their favor is, in my opinion, a very nice development that should be emphasized and makes us happy.”
In his speech, MÜSİAD Deputy Chairman Altunbaş touched upon the activities of MÜSİAD and said, “We are a businessmen’s organization on which the sun never sets, with more than 14 thousand members, 60 thousand companies in the system, 99 branches abroad, 84 branches in the country, and a total of 183 branches operating all over the world. In other words, we do not act in line with economic interests in our lives, I would like to express that moral values are also important.”
MÜSİAD Albania President İşler also thanked the guests who came from Türkiye and various countries to the ceremony.
İşler, who emphasized that they will work with all their might to increase the economic and commercial power of the MÜSİAD Albania branch, said, “I describe today as a historic day for us, for Turkey and Albania, for the business world, and we will crown this historic day with our member numbers and our work in commercial areas that will carry this history much further in the future.”
Following the speeches, a ribbon was cut with a prayer and the branch of MUSIAD in Tirana, the capital of Albania, was opened for service.
On the other hand, a B2B format meeting was held today under the auspices of the Albanian branch of MÜSİAD with the participation of business world representatives from Turkey, Albania and other countries.
