RUSSIA – Russia has reportedly supplied Murmansk-BN Electronic Warfare to Iran. The move comes amid tensions over the potential outbreak of war between Tehran and Israel following the killing of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.

The Murmansk-BN system is considered the most powerful because it can disrupt and intercept enemy radio signals, GPS, satellites, and other electronic systems. Its operational range is quite wide, namely between 5,000 and 8,000 kilometers.

Furthermore, Murmansk-BN can be deployed within 72 hours. Its components consist of several antenna masts mounted on military-style trucks.

The device is also capable of automatically scanning large areas. Typically, each 32-meter-long pole can cover an area of ​​640,000 km².
