Murder of Allan: 10 individuals in court, trial behind closed doors

The trial of the case concerning the murder of young Allan took place yesterday at the Anosy courthouse. According to the information gathered, the hearing was held behind closed doors, thus preventing any outside presence. Ten individuals found themselves before the bar, being directly or indirectly involved in the murder of the child.

A police source said: “There were 10 individuals. Four of them were the main perpetrators of the murder. Others had provided information to the latter. The rest were aware of the attempt but did not denounce the main suspects.”Among the accused is a couple, tenants of a house belonging to the little boy’s parents. They are suspected of having orchestrated the crime in collaboration with other members of their family and friends, also present at the hearing.

Investigations revealed that the motive for the crime was a settling of scores over unpaid rent for several months. Some had speculated political revenge, as Allan’s mother was a politician. However, investigations confirmed that a few days before the tragedy, an argument had broken out between Allan’s mother and her tenants over unpaid rent. Tensions were so high that the tenants had made threats against the landlords.

On the night of February 10, the criminals went to Allan’s parents’ home in Andavamamba, but did not find the owners there. They then discovered the little boy and stabbed him to death. His sister fortunately escaped the bandits’ atrocity. The murderers also abused the maid.
