Murder of a Reunion Islander: Arrests Continue in Toamasina

The investigation into the murder of a 61-year-old French national of Reunion Island origin found dead on the road near the Manarapenitra hospital in Morafeno Toamasina, on the morning of August 19, is ongoing. Two days later, on August 27, a second suspect, a 22-year-old man, was also arrested, still in Toamasina. According to police investigations, this individual is a repeat criminal. He was already involved in another murder and had already been incarcerated at the central prison of Ambalatavoahagy, Toamasina. Two people have already been arrested in this case, but there are currently all kinds of intervention maneuvers weighing on the police concerning these arrests already made.
