The inhabitants of Culiacán, Mexico, live daily with organized crime because the city is the main base of operations of the Sinaloa Cartel, specifically the group led by Los Chapitos.
It is in this region where acts of violence have been recorded that later go viral on social media, such as the so-called “Culiacanazo,” revealing the impunity with which hitmen act throughout the capital of Sinaloa.
Another shootout was recently reported in Culiacán, and although several images of the clashes were released, there was one video that caught more attention than others, as it shows two gunmen warning the passengers of a bus about the gunfight a few blocks away.
Everything was recorded by the driver of the bus that the Sinaloa Cartel hitmen boarded. They then asked the passengers to be careful because there is a lot of violence in the area.
“How many are going to Culiacán? There is a lot of chaos. Don’t get off. You know, you are in charge. We are just going up to tell you,” one of them is heard saying.
After hearing the warning, the driver apparently decided to turn back and not go through Culiacán to avoid being the victim of a stray bullet, or of the bus being stolen and set on fire, thus blocking one of the accesses to the city in order to prevent the authorities from passing through.
They are so friendly in Culiacan that they stop the trucks to warn you that there will be a confrontation ahead.
