The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) unveiled the model of the building intended for the future 911 Emergency Centerwhich will initially integrate the emergency lines of Metropolitan Lima and Callao, and later, those of the entire country.
At the presentation ceremony of the 3D video and the model of the future 911 Central, the Minister Raul Perez Reyestogether with the Vice Minister of Communications, Carla Sosaaffirmed the sector’s commitment to promoting this project.
He stressed that the objective is Improve coordination and response to emergenciesand the construction of the project is expected to be awarded soon.
“The 911 center seeks to unify all emergency numbers to provide centralized and consistent state carethus responding to the citizens’ need for urgent care,” said Pérez Reyes.

The head of the MTC added that this modern building will have an infrastructure for More than 90 operators and 100 dispatchers from the PNP, Firefighters, SAMU and the Line 100 from the Aurora Program of the Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations.
In addition, it will have a technological platform that will allow the use of the geolocation of emergency calls in real timeas well as a mobile application to report them and reduce response time quickly and safely.
He also noted that this system is designed to Reduce and filter malicious callswhich often make it difficult to provide timely attention to emergencies that put the health and life of the population at risk.
Minister Pérez Reyes stated that it is expected to attend More than 800,000 emergency calls per yearoperating the 24 hours a daythe 365 days of the year.
The project requires an investment of more than 184 million soles, financed in part by a loan of 137 million soles of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) and with a contribution of 51 million soles from the MTC.
