MSI launches new Prestige and Creator laptops with additional artificial intelligence

All models have the latest Intel chips, Core i and Core Ultra, on board, some in tandem with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 40 series GPU.

At CES 2024, MSI will largely refresh its laptop lineup with many new Prestige and Creator models. Everything is AI, even here. In addition to the AI ​​capabilities of the new Intel chips, MSI also provides an AI Software Suite package on every PC.

This software uses the built-in NPU of Intel chips to make AI-based decisions to better choose the right settings for your PC based on usage. The AI ​​Artist feature can convert offline text into images, and there’s also better noise cancellation for the microphones during a video call.

MSI’s Prestige series focuses on portability and are typically the devices used in the office. The Creator series is aimed at creative professionals who require more computing power, often with a separate GPU.

The MSI Prestige AI series can be divided into three screen sizes: 13 inches (OLED), 14 inches (IPS LCD), and 16 inches (OLED or IPS LCD). The Prestige 14 AI and 16 AI each also have a studio variant where you can choose from a separate graphics card up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 and RTX 4070 respectively.

Each laptop comes with an Intel Core Ultra 7 or Ultra 9 chip and a Full HD webcam that supports Windows Hello facial recognition. The 16-inch models have an SD card reader, the 13-inch model a microSD card slot.

The smallest variant weighs just 990 grams despite the robust 75 Wh battery on board. Each model comes with WiFi 7, which will become active as soon as the Windows 11 24H1 update launches in April.

Creator of the MSI

If you want more power on the worktop, you can turn to MSI’s Creator series. The new models all have an Nvidia GeForce RTX 40 series on board, starting from the 14-inch model with RTX 4050 up to the 16-inch variant with RTX 4090. The absolute highlight in terms of GPU computing power is the ‘MSI Creator 16 AI Studio, where you can choose between an RTX 4080 or an RTX 4090.

The fastest processor is found in the MSI Creator Z17 HX Studio, an Intel Core i9-14900HX. You can connect it to up to one Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 in one configuration.
