Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. mentioned that the oncology department should move towards target therapy in cancer treatment. Md. Sharfuddin Ahmed. He said, target therapy should be given instead of 12 chemotherapy simultaneously.
He said these things while addressing the chief guest at the pitha festival at BSMMU’s oncology department on Sunday (March 3) morning.
The vice chancellor said that so many patients come because BSMMU provides good services. Oncology department has more to do in terms of service delivery. The number of patients is increasing due to the recruitment of new teachers. The extent to which services are increasing should also be recorded for research.
Sharfuddin Ahmed said, besides congratulating the residents of the departments who passed hundred percent, I also thanked the teachers. 100% residents passed because teachers teach well. At the same time, the teachers of the departments in which the residents have failed will also have to give the exam. Because teachers are responsible for teaching students.
He said that the students should also study according to the instructions of the teachers. Let’s hope that the teachers will also learn from them. Doing something new will advance the university. Dreaming only makes you want to work to make it come true. Dreams come true through that work. I dream this university will have robotic surgery, I will have a bio bank here.
