Mother’s Day celebration generates controversy in Health Jurisdiction 6

This morning there was a controversy over a morning celebration that was organized for Mother’s Day by Health Jurisdiction No. 6. The celebration for health workers who are mothers was minutes after 8 in the morning in a villa located in the Bosque Escondido neighborhood of Torreón, on Arcoíris Street, between Naturaleza Street and De los Arquitectos Boulevard.

Francisco Guillén, state representative of the National Independent Union of Health Workers (Sinaitsa) said that staff have the right to an exit pass for two hours and that to do so, they must first appear at their workplace and sign in, which It did not happen, because what was done was to provide them with an attendance sheet but at the location of the event.

“Here it is a concession, many powers are being taken to leave the departments uncovered because they left directly, by regulations, Human Resources is not mobile, so the worker, whatever he does, has to go to the Human Resources department to check and then enter the necessary permits for what has to be done, that is an omission by the authority,” he accused. Guillén stated that he spoke with the Undersecretary of Health Care of Coahuila, Raúl Rodríguez and that he was not aware, but that he told him that he was going to review it and that they should take steps like Sinaitsa to grant them the same facility.

He added that the delegates of Section 87 of the Sntsa (majority union) were also calling for the celebration and that from Sinaitsa, there were working mothers of Vectors and Vaccination who went out to work in the field, so they did not attend.

“It is not the invitation, the detail is the concessions that are being granted, the facilities, although the doctor (César del Bosque, jurisdictional head) makes the decision to support the majority union financially, because it comes under the conditions that can be supported with discretion to the events of the union organizations, but regardless of that, when an administrative facility is granted for equity, it must be resolved for everyone, if they are not going to go to work the facilities must be given to the mothers even if they are from another union, even if they don’t go to the event,” he explained.

THERE WAS AUTHORIZATION, THEY SURE

For her part, the coordinator of Medical Care in the Jurisdiction, Martha Rangel, reported that all the working mothers of the agency were invited to the celebration without exception and that it was done with authorization from the state health authorities. She clarified that the areas were not neglected at any time, since they were covered by men and by those women who are not mothers.

“Aside from that, the party was held with the cooperation of all the coordinators of the Jurisdiction, it was something very nice, they are people who always support us to carry out the work, because at the end of the day, even though we are mothers, workers, with children, Husbands, we fulfill and give even more in our work.

What I did was invite all the mothers, many of his people (from Francisco Guillén) were at the event, what we want is to create a cordial atmosphere and that the mothers, regardless of the Union, color or party they are, have cordiality and that Let’s work comfortably, that’s what we’re looking for, that there be the tranquility that was lost in the Jurisdiction in the last administration,” he expressed. Rangel assured that the treatment is equal and that after the event, the mothers who were celebrated would return to their work areas around 11 in the morning.
