Mosquito disinfestation work was carried out with a drone in Izmir

(İZMİR)- Efes Selçuk Municipality, with the support of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, carried out pesticide spraying with drones in the puddles, ponds, swamps and reeds in the Küçük Menderes and Pamucak regions, which are breeding grounds for mosquitoes.

Veterinarian Mehmet Hür Öztürk, who supported the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality teams while the pesticide was being carried out with a drone, said, “The drug used is a completely biological drug. We decided that we could benefit only by affecting the mosquito larvae form. We would like to thank the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality teams for their support.”

The spraying technique, which does not harm nature and environmental health and only affects mosquito larvae and does not harm bees and other flies, will continue at regular intervals. Noting that the fly and pest problem will be taken under control throughout the summer, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality officials aim to ensure that the citizens in the region spend the summer months without experiencing fly and pest problems, thanks to these comprehensive works.

Efes Selçuk Municipality also continues to regularly spray all green areas, avenues and streets at night with pesticide vehicles.
